Hello Neighbor,

I am reaching out to announce my candidacy for Ward 5 City Councilor. I am really excited to jump into the fray this election season because I feel there are a lot of issues that need to be talked about. As a 12-year resident of Ward 5 (Arnold Street), I am impacted like everyone else by high taxes and increasing water/sewer bills. There isn’t an easy answer for mitigating the factors that are driving costs to increase around us, but I do believe that earnest communication with the administration and a sincere and genuine approach to government is the direction we need to head at this time.

I bring to the table many, many years of municipal finance experience as Treasurer-Collector for the City of New Bedford for 15 years, 3 years with the Town of Middleborough and various other municipal finance positions in Wareham, Onset and on Cape Cod.

I also served as a member of the Wareham Board of Selectmen for 7 years and the Wareham Board of Assessors for 3 years.

I am a current member of the Zeiterion Performing Arts Center Board of Directors and the Dartmouth Rotary Club. I am passionate about culture and the arts, food insecurity and the lack of affordable housing for working class folk.
