In her book, ‘Run’, Marion Walsh reminds us that Ben Franklin, Thomas Jefferson and John Adams experienced a day in their lives when they stopped complaining about what they didn’t like or didn’t have and decided instead to work for change.
My decision to seek this office is my commitment to the citizens of Ward 5 and New Bedford that they will be heard and I will be their voice to champion what’s in the best interest for all.
I don’t just want to be a spectator, I want to be a participant in our democracy.
Government is expensive and complicated. Using my background in municipal finance, I believe I will serve as an important asset in the budget and legislative process.
After many years in the municipal arena, I feel qualified to be the conduit between our citizens and governmental red tape.
The decision to be involved in public service involves commitment, tenacity and a genuine desire to make where you live a better place.
New Bedford isn’t about wards or neighborhoods, it isn’t about race, color or religion, New Bedford is about people and community.
I am the person ready to lead Ward 5 for the next 2 years. I promise you responsiveness and my undivided attention.
